Maria Vargas

Maria Vargas is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in New Jersey, with a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Currently, Maria is pursuing clinical hours to obtain both the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) credentials.

With experience working with adults facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders, as well as young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Maria brings a compassionate and holistic approach to therapy.

Rooted in client-centered and strengths-based therapy, Maria prioritizes understanding each client’s unique experiences, goals, and values. By identifying and building on their inherent strengths, she empowers individuals to foster self-confidence and resilience throughout their recovery journey.

Bilingual in Spanish and English, Maria is passionate about meeting clients where they are, fostering hope, and supporting them as they build meaningful and fulfilling lives.
