Culture
What Working Here Looks Like
Valley Spring's clinical culture is built around six operating principles that shape how clients are treated and how clinicians are supported. These are visible in daily schedules, supervision practice, and how leadership responds to clinical concerns.
Trauma-Informed Clinical Floor
Every clinician, case manager, and peer specialist completes annual trauma-informed care training. Documentation, supervision, and group programming are built on the assumption that most clients carry adverse childhood experiences and complex trauma histories.
Evidence-Based Practice
Valley Spring's clinical leadership tracks adherence to CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and ASAM Criteria. Clinicians receive feedback on fidelity, not just productivity.
Low Caseload, High Touch
Group sizes are capped to support individualized attention and clinical documentation completion within paid hours. Clinicians are not expected to write notes off the clock.
Supervision That Actually Happens
Individual supervision is scheduled on the clinical calendar, not optional or canceled when census is high. Pre-licensed staff log NJ-compliant hours toward LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure.
Recovery-Friendly Workplace
Valley Spring welcomes staff in sustained recovery. Length-of-recovery expectations align with NJ Certification Board guidance and clinical role requirements, and staff are supported in maintaining their own recovery practice.
