Charlie Schiano is a Primary Therapist in Valley Spring Recovery Center's Mental Health program, working as a generalist with 2 years of experience in the field. Charlie holds a Master of Social Work from Ramapo College and a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University, and is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) currently pursuing licensure hours toward LCSW. Charlie believes that lasting recovery begins with feeling genuinely understood, and that the therapeutic relationship itself is healing. By bringing warmth and energy to every interaction, Charlie integrates clinical depth with practical tools to help clients build lives worth protecting. No two people arrive at treatment the same way, so Charlie takes time to understand each client's history, strengths, and circumstances — whether that calls for skill building, deeper reflection, or simply being a steady, grounded presence. Charlie is motivated by the opportunity to support people through challenging periods in their lives and help them reconnect with their strengths, values, and goals. Outside of work, Charlie recharges by watching football, hiking, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.
