Caitlin DowLAC, LCADC

Caitlin Dow is the Clinical Manager of Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Services at Valley Spring Recovery Center, with 6 years of experience spanning methadone maintenance, detoxification, residential, and outpatient levels of care. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling with an Addictions Counseling Concentration from Montclair State University and completed her undergraduate studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Caitlin is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). Caitlin's career path — from behavioral technician and case manager to counselor and clinical leader — reflects her dedication to supporting clients through every stage of recovery. She works primarily with adults, families, veterans, and first responders, and her clinical philosophy is rooted in trauma-focused, person-centered care. Caitlin incorporates trauma-informed approaches, including principles from Seeking Safety, to help clients understand the connection between trauma, substance use, and mental health, tailoring her approach to each individual's strengths, challenges, and goals. Caitlin is motivated by the opportunity to help clients rediscover hope and build resilience. Outside of work, she recharges by walking her dog, spending time with loved ones, and maintaining balance through personal wellness practices.
