Zach's Background and Approach
Zach Puzo is a Therapist in Valley Spring Recovery Center's IOP and Life Skills programs, with 12 years of experience in behavioral health and addiction treatment dating back to 2014. He holds an Associate's degree in Human Services and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work, with studies at Passaic County Community College and Ramapo College of New Jersey. Zach is a CADC. Zach works with adults, adolescents, and families, drawing on Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention strategies, and CBT-based techniques to meet clients where they are and tailor care to each person's stage of change. He adapts his communication style to support engagement and progress, believing that effective treatment is compassionate, individualized, and focused on long-term growth rooted in accountability, emotional awareness, and sustainable change. What motivates Zach is the opportunity to provide a safe, caring environment where every client has the best possible chance at healing. Outside of work, he recharges by riding roller coasters and enjoying stand-up comedy.
