Patricia V. Osterhoudt, CARC, CRPA, ITSC, PSP is a recovery advocate, family support
specialist, and member of the Ramapough Lenape Nation in Hillburn, New York. She is a
Group Facilitator at Valley Spring Recovery Center in Norwood, New Jersey, and has been in
recovery since 2017 after losing her son to substance use disorder. Patricia has trained
close to 1,000 people in Narcan and overdose-response education, including an entire high
school graduating class of 225 students on the day of prom. She previously served as
Program Coordinator for the New Jersey Commission on American Indian Affairs and as
Family Service Coordinator, Recovery Coach, and Narcan Training Coordinator at
Foundations Recovery Community Center / RCADD. Patricia is the founder and former
director of Matt’s Movement, and in 2025 she offered the land acknowledgment and led her
workshop, “Roots to Resilience: Connecting with Your Indigenous Roots in Recovery,” at the
FOR-NY RECON 2025 conference. Her two-episode feature on Shalom World TV’s
Unshackled series will air in Spring 2026.
